I AM NEW

WHAT TO EXPECT

What do you believe?
  1. We connect to God through Biblical worship (text-driven preaching, Christ exalting music).
  2. We connect to the community by building disciples (Evangelizing, serving, loving the community around us through a team-ministry philosophy).
  3. We connect to disciples through Biblical shepherding (large and small group Bible study, Biblical counseling, accountability, sending).
  4. We are committed to the Baptist Faith and Message 2000 as our doctrinal statement. (http://www.sbc.net/bfm2000/bfm2000.asp)
What time are the services?

Our Sunday Service times are 11am and 6pm. We also have Sunday school classes that begin at 9:45am. Our Wednesday Night Bible Study begins at 7pm.

What should I wear?

Come as you are! You will find a range of dress styles, from jeans and a shirt to a sport coat and a dress. So feel free to come dressed the way you prefer, and you will fit right in!

Where are you located?

We are located just one mile from downtown Liberty. We are right off of Highway 123 between Clemson and Easley.

Where is parking?

You will park in one of the designated “First Time Guests” parking spots. Once you pull into the parking lot, you will see signs that will direct you. There are spots on the left and right side of the church.

Where do I enter?

The best place for you to enter is the front glass doors under the overhang. You will be warmly greeted by your friendly welcoming team. They will direct you where you need to go, so don’t worry. If you have any questions, ask them and they’ll be happy to answer any of your questions!

Is there childcare on Sunday?

Yes! We have a nursery and Children’s Church for kids ages 3-5 year old. Just ask one of the ushers and they’ll gladly guide you to where you need to go. We believe in creating a fun, secure environment for each child at East Side Baptist Church. All of our volunteers and teachers go through extensive training and complete background checks before serving at East Side. You may meet your child’s teacher upon dropping them off in their age appropriate room.

Do you have a children program?

Right now, we have Children’s Church on Sunday morning and night. There is also a Wednesday night in the gym. We are exploring more, exciting ideas!

What about a youth program?

Of course! On Sunday at 6pm and Wednesday at 7pm, the youth get together and worship Jesus Christ. Our youth ministry is designed to provide a fun, accepting place where you can seek God’s Spirit and purpose in Christian community.

What are the services like? (AM, PM, Wed.)

In total, each service (Sunday morning, Sunday evening and Wednesday Night Bible Study) is about 60 minutes in length. Sunday morning and Sunday evening, the service begins with our worship team leading the congregation in music. Song lyrics are projected on the projector screens so you can sing along and/or engage in worship. After the music portion of the service, our pastor will come on stage and share a word from the Lord that is grounded and driven by the Biblical text. Here at East Side, we are committed to preaching that is expository and application that is Christ centered.

Do I need a Bible?

If you own a Bible, you will want to bring it. Even if it’s on your phone! Our pastor teaches straight from scripture. He refers to it often. If you don’t have one, don’t worry there are Bibles in the pews and the verses will be on the projector screens. Our pastor teaches from what is known as the New King James Version (NKJV). If you have another version, you are of course welcome to use it.

Do you have assisted listening devices?

Yes, we do! Just ask an usher or someone in the sound booth. They will be happy to instruct you on how to use it!
