I AM NEW

WHAT TO EXPECT

What do you believe?
  1. We connect to God through Biblical worship (text-driven preaching, Christ exalting music).
  2. We connect to the community by building disciples (Evangelizing, serving, loving the community around us through a team-ministry philosophy).
  3. We connect to disciples through Biblical shepherding (large and small group Bible study, Biblical counseling, accountability, sending).
  4. We are committed to the Baptist Faith and Message 2000 as our doctrinal statement. (http://www.sbc.net/bfm2000/bfm2000.asp)
What time are the services?

Our Sunday Service times are 11:00 am and 6:00 pm. Our Sunday school classes  begin at 9:45 am. We also have two services for our Wednesday Bible Study, 10am and 6:30pm.

What should I wear?

Come as you are! You will find a range of dress styles, from jeans and a shirt to a sport coat and a dress. So feel free to come dressed the way you prefer, and you will fit right in!

Where are you located?

We are located just one mile from downtown Liberty. We are right off of Highway 123 between Clemson and Easley. Our address is 920 Anderson Drive, Liberty, SC 29657.

Where is parking?

You will park in one of the designated “First Time Guests” parking spots. Once you pull into the parking lot, you will see signs that will direct you. There are spots on the left and right side of the church.

Where do I enter?

The best place for you to enter is the front glass doors under the overhang. You will be warmly greeted by our friendly welcoming team. They will direct you where you need to go, so don’t worry. If you have any questions, ask them and they’ll be happy to answer any of your questions!

Is there childcare on Sunday and Wednesday?

Yes! We have a nursery and Children’s Church for kids ages newborn-5 years old called the Clubhouse. Just ask one our welcoming committee in the Lobby when you first walk in and they’ll gladly guide you to where you need to go. We believe in creating a fun, secure environment for each child at East Side Baptist Church. All of our volunteers and teachers go through extensive training and complete background checks before serving at East Side. Please check in at the Clubhouse registration desk in the Hallway.

Do you have a childrens program?

Yes! Our Kids Zone (1st – 5th grade) meets for Sunday School at 9:45am and on Wednesday nights at 6:30 pm.  Be sure to check out our Kid Zone page on our website for events coming up!

What about a youth program?

Of course! Our East Side Students meet for Sunday School at 9:45 am and sit out in the sanctuary during our morning and evening Sunday services. Onn Wednesdays at 6:00pm, our youth gets together in their space called the LOFT and worship Jesus Christ. Our youth ministry is designed to provide a fun, accepting place where you can seek God’s Spirit and purpose in Christian community. Please check out the Youth page on our website for more events coming up!

What are the services like? (AM, PM, Wed.)

In total, each service (Sunday morning, Sunday evening and Wednesday Morning/Night Bible Study) is about 60 minutes in length. Sunday morning and Sunday evening, the service begins with our worship team leading the congregation in music. Song lyrics are projected on the projector screens so you can sing along and/or engage in worship. After the music portion of the service, our pastor will come on stage and share a word from the Lord that is grounded and driven by the Biblical text. Here at East Side, we are committed to preaching that is expository and application that is Christ centered.

Do I need a Bible?

If you own a Bible, you will want to bring it. Even if it’s on your phone! Our pastor teaches straight from scripture. He refers to it often. If you don’t have one, don’t worry there are Bibles in the pews and the verses will be on the projector screens. Our pastor teaches from what is known as the New King James Version (NKJV). If you have another version, you are of course welcome to use it.

Do you have assisted listening devices?

Yes, we do! Just ask an usher or someone in the sound booth. They will be happy to instruct you on how to use it!
